“If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.” - His Holiness, The Dalai Lama
At Talking Yoga our highest company value is compassion: for ourselves, our team members, our clients, our community and for all beings. Compassion is the container for serving others.
We start from this place of oneness - the fabric of the universe, of our planet, and of all beings. Compassion is our ability to see this deep connectedness and know that we are not separate from anything or anyone. In time, we come to appreciate that there are no boundaries, even when it often feels like there is space between us. This is the practice.
As yoga teachers, yogis and heart-centered professionals it is often difficult to balance compassion with our ability to take care of ourselves and make a living. Together, we will tackle this and other vexing issues. For now, take a moment to ponder these three critical questions:
- What do I need today to be more self-compassionate?
- What is my deeper calling to serve?
- How do I support others while staying strong, centered and joyful?
Our expanded mission is to help each other ask better questions, pause to listen to internal wisdom and then, move into action.
Welcome back to Talking Yoga, where we connect with other dedicated practitioners to share wisdom, best practices and satisfy our curiosity about our innermost selves.
